Getting Involved
How do i get involved in Super TT?
If you've been competing already in local motorsport events, chances are you probably are already familiar with who is running Queensland Super TT. For those who are new to local motorsport and would like to get in and started, here is a quick rundown of what to do!

1) Join the social media channels
Queensland Super TT have a number of social media pages, the most user relevant page of course is the general discussion group on Facebook (Click Here) This page is a really useful source to join in the discussion and keep up to date with event information and anything else that may be going on!
There is also and Instagram and regular Facebook page as well to follow along with.

2) Get in touch with category management
It's always prudent to get in touch with category management, or other Super TT competitors. Whether it be for technical advice, or general banter we're always happy to help. If its your first door-to door meeting we can most certainly guide you through a meeting. Our contact details are listed in the information and documents page.

3) Building a car (or Buying a car)
Lets assume that you have been to a race meeting or two and want to build a car and start racing. The first step would be to download the Super TT technical regulations and have a read of what you can and can't do (its fairly open, there isn't much you can't do!) the second step would be to familiarize yourself with the Motorsport Australia technical appendices which cover essential build standards for roll-cages, fuel tanks, fire extinguishers and so on. You can find them here (Click Here) The most important schedules to refer to are A,B,C,H, I, J & N. They are all relevant, but the aforementioned moreso. Please note that Queensland Super TT is not a Motorsport Australia affiliated club, but we regard their safety regulations as being the gold standard in Australia. Essentially if it complies with MA rules, you can run the car anywhere!

4) Licensing
Queensland Super TT is run predominantly at AASA (Australian Auto Sport Alliance) meetings. As such the primary license you will need is a AASA national racing license. For events at Queensland Raceway and Morgan Park, you will only need a AASA license. For Lakeside events, the track is run under RACERS sanctioning which is a separate license. If you have a AASA national race license you will only need a RACERS clubman license to race at Lakeside meetings. For those wishing to compete at lakeside ONLY, and you don't have a AASA license, you can use a full RACERS national race license at lakeside instead.

Above all, if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to join the Facebook group, or get in touch with any of the category managers!
